    For the third time overall and second consecutive year, the Savannah Arts Academy Girls Cross Country Team has brought home the state championship. The finals of the GHSA Class 2A State Championship took place on Saturday, November 8, 2025 in Carrollton, Georgia. The SAA Girls defeated Columbus 37-44 with four runners finishing in the Top 11 individually.

    The girls weren’t the only ones finding success this year, with the Savannah Arts Academy Boys Cross Country Team finishing fourth at their state meet after winning the region title on November 1st.

    Savannah Arts Academy Coach Steve Steve Ricciardi has been coaching the program for the last 14 years. These student athletes manage to fit in 45 miles a week training, while balancing academics and arts. Congratulations to all!
