Teyana Taylor took center stage on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, delivering a powerful performance of “Hard Part” alongside Lucky Daye from her latest album, Escape Room. Beyond the music, the multi-hyphenate star also sat down to discuss several major career milestones, including her first-ever Golden Globe win for her role in One Battle After Another, a Grammy nomination for Escape Room, and going toe-to-toe with Ben Affleck in the upcoming film The Rip. Adding to her moment, Taylor is currently gracing the cover of Vanity Fair, serving high-fashion elegance with effortless edge.

For her New York City appearance on Wednesday night, Taylor made a striking fashion statement, stepping out in two distinct designer looks from Mugler and Taakk. She arrived at the studio wearing a sleek ensemble from Mugler’s Spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection, rendered in smoky gray and gunmetal tones. The look featured a sculpted silhouette with a high neckline and long sleeves, blending matte and glossy textures for a futuristic feel. She completed the monochromatic outfit with square-toe, second-skin heeled boots, reinforcing the sharp, streamlined aesthetic. Notably, the collection marked the debut of Mugler’s new creative director, Miguel Castro Freitas.

Later in the evening, Taylor switched into a crisp, tailored white look by Japanese fashion label Taakk, founded by designer Takuya Morikawa. The architectural ensemble showcased precise construction and bold, structured detailing, which she paired with the same gray Mugler boots. Taylor wore the Taakk design during her performance of “Hard Part,” seamlessly merging fashion and music.

Taylor’s Tonight Show appearance follows closely behind her Golden Globe win for Best Supporting Actress in One Battle After Another, a film that also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Chase Infiniti, Benicio del Toro, and Sean Penn further cementing her status as a force across music, film, and fashion.
