Style Spotlight: Looks, Trends & Fashion Inspiration

Grammy Award-winning duo Brandy and Monica recently opened up about the inspiration behind their iconic hit “The Boy Is Mine,” how Ariana Grande approached them for a remix, and details about their upcoming tour.

Brandy revealed that the idea for the song came after watching an episode of Jerry Springer, which sparked the concept of two women confronting each other over the same man. She reached out to Monica—whom she greatly admired—to collaborate on the track. Monica initially thought fans might believe the two were actually feuding, but the song went on to become a massive success, spending 13 consecutive weeks at No. 1 and earning the pair a Grammy.

The singers also reflected on the profound influence of Whitney Houston, sharing memories of working with the legendary star.

Now, Brandy and Monica are hitting the road for a 24-city tour! Tickets go on sale this Friday, so get ready to grab yours. The tour kicks off on October 16. See more photos and video clip inside…
