City of Savannah Announces Street Closures, Safety Measures for Crush Reloaded

SAVANNAH — In preparation for expected large crowds during Crush Reloaded Weekend, the City of Savannah has designated April 17–19, 2026, as a Major Special Event. This designation allows for enhanced public safety measures, including increased law enforcement presence and temporary street closures in the City Market area.

Street closures that will be in effect:

All streets will be closed from 6:00pm, Friday, April 17, to 4:00am, Saturday, April 18; and from 6:00pm, Saturday, April 18, to 4:00am, Sunday, April 19.

Please see the list of street closures below:

  • St. Julian Street from MLK Jr. Blvd to Montgomery St. (West side of Franklin Square)
  • Montgomery St. from Broughton St. to Bryan St.
  • Jefferson St. from Broughton St. to Bryan St.
  • Barnard St. from Broughton St. to Bryan St.
  • Congress St. from MLK Jr. Blvd to Whitaker St.
  • St. Julian from Whitaker St. to Bull St. (West side of Johnson Square)

Additional Details:

  • The Ellis Square/Barnard St. exit of the Whitaker St. Garage will be closed for the same hours as the street closures.
  • The following streets have been designated as no parking zones beginning at 12:00pm, Friday, April 17 – 4:00am, Sunday, April 19.
    • Congress St. from MLK Jr., Blvd. to Bull St.
    • St. Julian from MLK Jr., Blvd. to Montgomery St.
    • St. Julian from Whitaker St. to Bull St.
  • Johnson Square will be the designated rideshare pick-up and drop-off location for Friday and Saturday, 10:00pm – 4:00am.
