Style Spotlight: Looks, Trends & Fashion Inspiration

Who doesn’t love them some Dolly? This iconic diva knows how to keep audiences and the masses on our toes and feet. Recently, Dolly Parton hinted at a possible special Beyonce Cowboy Carter Tour appearance. Something that would for sure shake and break the internet.

Such a meetup makes perfect sense, since the pair collaborated on Queen Bey’s last album, Cowboy Carter. And ode to the roots of country music. Beyoncé got the “okay” in order to record Parton’s legendary hit song, “Jolene.” A remake that Dolly absolutely loved and adored. In a recent interview regarding Bey’s take on Jolene, Dolly said,

“I was very honored that she wanted to do her version of ‘Jolene,’ the Grammy winner said. ‘That’s all a great compliment to me, when somebody wants to do my songs in any version.

I was very amused by her take on that, and I got a big kick out of that,” she said of Beyoncé’s new lyrics in her twist on the ballad. “She’s not gonna sit back and say, ‘Oh please don’t take my man.’ She’s gonna kick some a**!’”

Therefore, it’s clear that Parton is happy with Beyoncé’s version; BUT would she show up on the tour? Parton just mentioned, “You never know – anything is possible! Because she really is doing great with that [tour]!” So music fans we’ll just have to hold our breaths and see.

However, Parton was right; Bey is slaying the game when it comes to touring. Beyoncé’s Los Angeles run of the Cowboy Carter tour made HER-STORY. It is now 2025’s biggest single-venue engagement, ranking fifth in Billboard Boxscore history. Only U2’s Sphere shows, Harry Styles’ 15-night run at Madison Square Garden, and Take That’s eight shows at Wembley Stadium pulled bigger numbers. WILD.

Additionally, if you are a figures person; you’ll enjoy this next tour fun fact. The first leg of the Cowboy Carter Tour at SoFi Stadium shattered with record-breaking numbers. During her five sold-out shows in Inglewood, California, Beyoncé sold around 217,000 tickets and earned up to $55.7 million. Not bad for basically a week of work.

But what about this 2045 Dolly Parton release we keep hearing about suddenly? Well, it is not a myth. There is a song in Dollywood’s vaults slated to be released in another 20 years; the year Dolly Parton turns 100. The song, which is buried in a time capsule at Parton’s Dollywood DreamMore resort, won’t be released for two more decades.

All Parton would reveal about it, is this, “So I’m not supposed to say what it is, and who knows, I may be there to sing it. I’ve wanted to say to them a time or two, ‘That song was so good! Can I just put another song in there? Can I dig that one up? Put something else?’ … [But] I thought, ‘No, that’s just a deal we made, and we’ll see.’”
