    Key takeaways
    • Application deadline for the Vision to Victory Grant extended to September 10, 2026, giving more entrepreneurs time to apply.
    • Five entrepreneurs receive $1,000 each; other applicants may get complimentary access to Coach Kay GPT; initiative provides nearly $10,000 in support.
    • Combines capital with business development; Coach Kay GPT offers on-demand strategies to build digital products and revenue, aiding five- and six-figure growth.
    • Through the K Thompson Foundation, the initiative advances entrepreneurship, mentorship, financial independence, and generational wealth beyond coaching alone.

After experiencing layoffs and eviction, Coach Kay Thompson turned her professional expertise into a seven-figure digital business. Today, she is using what she learned along the way to create opportunities for emerging entrepreneurs through the Vision to Victory Grant, a funding and business development initiative designed to help founders build more sustainable companies.

Thompson, a Digital Revenue Strategist and seven-figure business coach, has since helped more than 11,000 students—primarily Black women—develop additional income streams and work toward greater financial security.

Now, through the K Thompson Foundation’s Business Restoration Initiative, she is extending that work beyond education and coaching by putting capital and resources directly into the hands of entrepreneurs.

Five entrepreneurs will receive $1,000 Vision to Victory Grants, while additional applicants will have the opportunity to receive complimentary access to Coach Kay GPT, Thompson’s AI-powered coaching platform. The broader initiative is providing nearly $10,000 in funding and business resources to support entrepreneurs as they strengthen, scale, and sustain their businesses.

Turning a Personal Setback Into a Pathway for Others

The initiative is closely connected to Thompson’s own entrepreneurial story.

Following job loss and financial uncertainty, she rebuilt her career through entrepreneurship, ultimately creating a business centered on helping others monetize their expertise and build scalable digital income.

Described as a Digital Revenue Strategist, seven-figure business coach, business architect, AI business educator, and founder of Coach Kay GPT, Thompson focuses on helping entrepreneurs turn their knowledge into revenue-producing digital assets while strengthening their sales, marketing, positioning, and overall business strategy.

Her experience navigating layoffs and eviction gives another layer to the mission behind the Vision to Victory Grant: helping entrepreneurs build income streams that can provide not only business growth, but greater financial stability.

“Earlier in my entrepreneurial journey, I needed more motivation, access, guidance, and someone who believed in what I was building,” Thompson shared when announcing the initiative. She created the grant with the hope that recipients would invest in themselves, move their businesses forward, and take meaningful steps toward financial independence and freedom.

    More Than a $1,000 Grant

The Vision to Victory Grant combines access to capital with business development support.

Selected entrepreneurs will receive $1,000 to invest in their businesses, while other applicants will be considered for access to Coach Kay GPT, Thompson’s AI coaching platform.

Coach Kay GPT was developed to provide entrepreneurs with on-demand access to Thompson’s business strategies, including guidance around creating and selling digital products, building revenue streams, and scaling their businesses.

According to Thompson’s team, the platform has helped students work toward five- and six-figure monthly revenue results.

The combination of funding and strategic support reflects a reality many small business owners face: access to money can create an opportunity, but entrepreneurs also need the knowledge, tools, and visibility to turn that opportunity into sustainable growth.

Application Deadline Extended to September 10

Thompson has extended the Vision to Victory Grant application deadline to September 10, 2026, giving more emerging entrepreneurs an opportunity to apply.

Applicants will be able to share information about their businesses, growth goals, and vision for the future as part of the application process.

The original initiative was created to support entrepreneurs through direct funding, AI-powered business coaching, and other resources intended to help founders build stronger revenue streams and increase their visibility.

Through the K Thompson Foundation, Thompson is continuing a mission centered on entrepreneurship, mentorship, financial independence, and generational wealth.

For a business coach whose own path included rebuilding after layoffs, eviction, and financial uncertainty, the Vision to Victory Grant represents more than another business program. It is an opportunity to give emerging entrepreneurs some of the capital, guidance, and belief Thompson says she once needed.
