Fierce Aunties Advocate for Maternal Healthcare in New Citywide Billboard Campaign

Launched in partnership with Essential Access Health, this campaign reaffirms that Black birthing people deserve access to the full spectrum of reproductive and sexual health care — including abortion, prenatal care, birth education, and postpartum support — free from shame, coercion, or barriers based on income or zip code.

Black Maternal Health Week 2025

Black Maternal Health Week (April 11-17) is a national week dedicated to raising awareness and advocating for solutions to Black maternal and infant health disparities. The purpose of #BMHW25 is to highlight efforts led by @BlackMamasMatterAlliance (BMMA) and collectively work toward a future where all Black Mamas have the rights, respect, and resources to thrive before, during, and after pregnancy. This year’s theme is “Healing Legacies: Strengthening Black Maternal Health Through Collective Action and Advocacy!”
