BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Former LSU basketball star Flau’jae Johnson had to pay up after making the wrong pick in the LSU-Ole Miss football game.
Johnson arrived for the Seattle Storm’s season finale Wednesday wearing Ole Miss gear after losing a bet with one of her teammates over Saturday’s matchup between LSU and the Rebels.
A video posted before the game showed Johnson making the bet with her teammate, setting up the punishment if LSU lost.
The Tigers fell 32-24 to Ole Miss on Saturday, Sept. 19, sending Johnson into enemy colors a few days later.
The Storm shared photos of Johnson’s arrival on social media with a warning: “Tiger fans look away.”
Johnson wore an Ole Miss sweatshirt and hat along with red shoes while posing for arrival photos. She still flashed an LSU hand sign in one of the pictures.
Johnson’s mother and manager, Kia Brooks, joined LSU fans reacting to the outfit in the comments.
“Bet gone wrong 😅. Its ok #ForeverLSU,” Brooks wrote.
LSU’s loss in Oxford dropped the Tigers to 2-1 on the season. LSU rallied with 17 unanswered points during the game before Ole Miss pulled away for the win.
Johnson spent four seasons at LSU and helped the Tigers win the 2023 national championship before beginning her professional career with the Seattle Storm.
