Gambia-born model and entrepreneur Juka Ceesay is transforming skincare with a purpose-driven brand rooted in clean ingredients, cultural heritage, and global women’s empowerment.

Born from a recognition of the unique disadvantages and scarcity of skincare products that harness authentic, natural African superfoods combined with non-toxic, safe, and clean beauty ingredients – Gambia born Supermodel and International Businesswoman Juka Ceesay created Juka’s Clean Beauty. The distinguished skin care line is a clean, plant-based skincare brand that focuses on skin health and real results while empowering women in villages throughout six countries in West Africa.

Growing up, young Ceesay fought colorism and struggled to accept the melanin in her skin as the darker hues were often looked down upon. “There was a time when I was using products that bleached my skin and I was very light,” Ceesay tells Heart & Soul. “From there I got vertigo around my cheeks. I continued but I didn’t know how to stop until I met a friend that convinced me to accept me as I am.”

As a rising supermodel in North America, Ceesay knew first hand the toll the demands of trying to obtain and sustain bodily perfection can have on one both mentally and physically. It was the memories of her childhood and growing up in West Africa that led to her journey of embracing her authentic beauty, inspiring women to believe in themselves, and entrepreneurship. “I witnessed my mother’s successful business ventures which she achieved without any formal education. Reflecting on my upbringing both inspired and empowered me and my sisters because her business not thrived but also contributed to financing our education,” she says.

When Juka had an opportunity to take a seat at the table, she took it and she’s still sitting in that seat of power. Today, Juka’s Clean Beauty is used by women worldwide and is praised for delivering visible results including clearer skin, even tone and a long lasting glow while strengthening the skin barrier. With its unique formula that blends nature and science – the brand is committed to transparency, heritage, and long-term skin wellness.

When the reviews came in, the results were clear. “It exfoliated my skin gradually, removing the hyperpigmentation from my face. It is also safe for sensitive skin and does not irritate my face,” one verified user wrote describing the Face Mask. Another verified user of the Hyper Glow Moisturizer wrote, “I highly recommend this moisturizer. After using it for a few months, my skin feels softer, smoother, and better…”

But even after all of the success, Ceesay never forgot her early struggle to embrace her skin. Today, she inspires women – young and old – to embrace their skin. “I want to inspire young women of color and Black girls to believe in themselves and to always dream with a purpose and to be confident in it and to never give up on themselves with their dreams. Anything is possible, you just have to believe it and be persistent and allow your faith to lead  you, and you will get there,” she shares.

The product line features skin moisturizers, cleansers, and a facial mask.  The brand highlights three unique moisturizers: the Natural Glow Face Moisturizer for oily skin, the Hyper Glow Face Moisturizer, which evens skin tone, brightens, and fades the appearance of sunspots; and the Extra Glow Face Moisturizer, which hydrates, rejuvenates, and addresses anti-aging concerns. The Daily Cleanser hydrates, brightens, and adds a youthful glow, while the Deep Cleanser exfoliating face wash exfoliates, brightens, and rejuvenates. For youthful radiance, the Facial Mask exfoliates and renews while brightening, revitalizing, and rejuvenating.

Driven by purpose, faith, and resilience – Jukas’s Skin Care continues to empower women around the globe. She is committed to making a lasting impact, not just in skincare, but in inspiring others to believe in themselves and their potential.
