Obituary for Lee E Parker

The Lord has always been my shepherd; so, don’t worry about me. Through my death, He has restored my soul. Although I have walked through the valley of the shadow of death, I feared no evil, because God sent His angels to comfort me. In my heart, you’ll always be a part of me. Rejoice because I have reached that place of peace, where there is no fear.

Lee Edward Parker was born on December 27, 1950, to the late Willie Parker and Rosie Bell Parker in Twin City, Georgia. He received his formal education from Emmanuel County school system in Twin City, Georgia. He furthered his education at the Division of Blind Services in Daytona Beach, Florida. Lee Parker accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age. He served as an Elder. Lee was an individual who enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed working outside in his garden and cutting the grass. He was employed by JR’s Construction for eight years.

Lee Edward Parker was united in holy matrimony to Vanessa Brooks Parker, who preceded him in death. To this union, they were blessed with one daughter, Lee Ann Parker.

The Bible instructs us to always be ready because no one knows the time or the hour of departure. God reclaimed his gift to this world on November 8, 2025. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Parker and Rosie Bell Parker.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Gloria Benton-Parker; daughter, Lee Ann (Julius) Parker; bonus daughter, Veronica (Tashard) Williams; one brother, Myles Parker; three sisters, Joyce Petterson, Mary Ann Parker, and Deborah (Robert) Petterson; eight grandsons, Daveron (Schipitany) Williams, Josh Williams, Jerell (Danielle) Williams, Johnathan Ramsey, Jr., Michael Williams, Elijah Morten, Javeyon Parks, and Eris Parker; two granddaughters, Amari Collins and Eriyona Parker; ten great-grandchildren; one goddaughter, LaKeya Mungin; one brother-in-law, Alfonso Benton; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowful friends.
