MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The LEO Foundation is proud to announce the 2026 Moving Montgomery Forward Golf Initiative Junior Golf League City Championship, set for Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Gateway Park Golf Course.

The City Championship marks the exciting culmination of the 2026 Junior Golf League season and serves as the final event of the year for the Moving Montgomery Forward Golf Initiative. This championship will spotlight some of the top middle school golfers from across the city as they showcase their gifts, talents, and development on the course in a competitive championship setting.

Presented by the LEO Foundation, the City Championship celebrates the growth of youth golf in Montgomery while highlighting the impact of the Junior Golf League in creating opportunities for student-athletes through discipline, competition, and character development.

Throughout the 2026 season, the league welcomed more than 30 middle school participants from across the city, providing young golfers with the opportunity to learn, compete, and grow through structured league play. The City Championship will feature the league’s top performers competing for championship honors, with awards presented to recognize outstanding achievement and season excellence.

The Moving Montgomery Forward Golf Initiative Junior Golf League City Championship is made possible through the generous support of its community partners and sponsors, including LEO Golf Academy, the Montgomery County Commission, Montgomery Public Schools Athletics, and Coca-Cola.

“We are incredibly grateful for our sponsors, partners, and the families who helped make this season such a success,” said Coach Leo. “I am just grateful and proud of how this league has grown from the first year in 2025 into this year in 2026, and we hope to continue growing it into an even bigger event and an even stronger league for years to come.”

The City Championship represents more than the end of a season—it is a celebration of the hard work, growth, and promise of Montgomery’s next generation of golfers.
