From Campus to Classroom: Stories That Shape Education

    Key takeaways
    • HBCU Aware Fest is a multi-day celebration (March 21–26, 2026) centering HBCU pride and community in Atlanta.
    • Every dollar raised goes to the Student Freedom Initiative, a 501(c)(3) supporting HBCU students with a scalable, student-first model.
    • The festival features a star-studded concert lineup and special appearances from cultural leaders and philanthropists.
    • Events include an Impact Summit, celebrity basketball game, step show, comedy night, worship experience, and kickoff party.

ATLANTA, GA — Live Nation Urban and Student Freedom Initiative announce HBCU AWARE FEST, a historic celebration where culture meets purpose. Anchored by a multi-act concert at State Farm Arena on March 26, 2026, HBCU Aware Fest is designed to raise life-changing funds to address the student debt crisis disproportionately impacting HBCU students nationwide.

This event is a landmark moment for Black higher education.
    HBCUs produce:

    • 80% of Black doctors and Black judges
    • 50% of Black engineers
    • 40% of Black dentists

Yet the students who attend these vital institutions graduate with significantly higher debt, averaging $52,000 for Black bachelor’s degree holders — a burden that delays homeownership, family planning, and generational wealth-building.

“This isn’t charity — it’s an investment in our futures,”

says the mission behind HBCU Aware Fest.

Designed as a nationwide call to action, every dollar raised goes directly to the Student Freedom Initiative, a trusted 501(c)(3) with a scalable, student-first model that supports HBCU communities year-round.

    Culture, Community, & Impact

March 21–26, 2026 will transform Atlanta into the epicenter of HBCU pride with:

    • Kickoff Party
    • HBCU Impact Summit
    • Celebrity Basketball Game
    • Divine 9 Step Show
    • Laugh It Off Comedy Night
    • Sunday Worship Gospel Experience
    • And the HBCU Aware Fest Concert, the culminating event bringing together global headliners and cultural leaders.

    Concert Lineup + Appearances

Performers include: Jill Scott, John Legend, Earth, Wind & Fire, Metro Boomin, GloRilla, Tems, Jeezy, Kirk Franklin, Coco Jones, Common, PJ Morton, Yolanda Adams, Mickey Guyton, Adam Blackstone, Travis Greene and more.

Special appearances: from Robert F. Smith, Mayor Andre Dickens, Chris Paul, Dr. Jamal Bryant, Larenz Tate, Angel Reese, Big Boi, 2 Chainz, Ryan Clark, and more.

Plus a special performance by the cast of Alicia Keys’ Broadway hit Hell’s Kitchen.

A Festival Where Music Meets Movement

“This is the kind of moment brands want to be part of — where relevance meets responsibility,” the HBCU Aware Fest team notes. The festival not only brings together world-class talent — it amplifies stories of resilience, creativity, and the future of Black excellence.
