    Savannah Chatham County Public School System (SCCPS) Update:

    Key takeaways
    • Jenkins High School produced champions: Blessed Diogo won the Girls Triple Jump; Jenkins Boys won the Class AAA 4x100 Meter Relay.
    • Savannah Arts Academy's Francie Tedder won the 1600 Meter Run; Girls 4x800 Relay set a school record with a 9:58 victory.
    • SCCPSS student-athletes earned numerous medals across multiple schools, showcasing dedication and depth throughout the district.

    Student-athletes from across the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System earned accolades and medals at the 2026 GHSA Track & Field State Championships held earlier this month at the University of Georgia. SCCPSS student success included four state championships split between two of our high schools!

    From Jenkins High School, Blessed Diogo won the state championship in the Class AAA Girls Triple Jump.

    From Savannah Arts Academy, Francie Tedder won the 1600 Meter Run State Championship with a time of 5:14:09.

    The Savannah Arts Academy Girls 4 X 800 Meter Relay Team not only won the State Championship, they also broke the school record with a time of 9:58!
