MERRITT BECK IN A DESTREE STRIPED MINIDRESS

We’re getting sooooo close to sundress season! If you live down south you’re likely already getting to wear a fair amount of them, but we’ve only had a handful of days so far with weather that allows it her ein New York. You can probably spot the goosebumps on my arms and legs in these pictures – it was in the high 50s when we shot these photos! I’ve already had a chance to wear this look though, thanks to my ten day trip down to Texas last month. If you read Monday’s post, you’ll know this dress is one of my latest acquisitions that has sparked serious joy – and is it a surprise, really? These colors are SO fabulous! It’s not just the color palette that has me swooning, but the comfortable, classic silhouette that allows for seamless day-to-night wear. It’s a lightweight, linen-blend fabric and is lined in 100% cotton, ideal for even the hottest days this summer! It’s something you could style casually with crispy white sneakers or flat sandals for everyday wear, or dress up with heels for dinner.

Dresses like this are low effort but high reward – something easy to reach for when you want a one-and-done look without doing much additional styling. If you’re on the hunt for more casual-chic numbers that work for all kinds of errands, appointments and activities this spring/summer season, don’t miss the two roundups below!

PS: quick sizing note on the dress I’m wearing – size up! It runs very small. I’m in the medium here!
