    Rep. Carl Gilliard to Host Outstanding Georgian Awards Event in Savannah

    ATLANTA – State Representative Carl Gilliard (D-Savannah) will recognize individuals for their contributions to Savannah and the state of Georgia at the Outstanding Georgian Awards event on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 11 a.m.at the Southwest Chatham Library Auditorium in Savannah, Georgia. 

    Individuals that will be honored include: Deacon Charles Russell, Coach Derrick Perry, Leila Hollis, Reverend Gilbert Hall, Patt Gunn, Claudia Collier, Timothy Grace, Oliveira Grace, the late Esther Perkins Frazier, the late Reverend Franklin Blackshear, Lyndy Brannen, Phyllis Russell and Grover Thornton.
