It will be the second meeting between the two teams this season with Savananh State taking both matchups (70-59 win on Dec. 19th in Savannah, and 85-66 win on Feb. 21st in Fairfield). It will also be a rematch of last season’s SIAC Tournament Quarterfinal, where Savannah State knocked off the then SIAC Regular Season Champion Golden Bears, 63-61. Winners of 10 of their last 11 games, including a road SIAC sweep of Clark Atlanta last week, head coach Amber Hallman and the Lady Tiger softball squad have shown signs of them being a serious contender in the ultra-competitive SIAC East Division. Savannah State will continue their 14-game road trip this weekend with another important East Division matchup against the Golden Rams of Albany State. A doubleheader will start things off on Friday afternoon at 3:00pm & 5:00pm, followed by the series finale on Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm.
