City, Keep Savannah Beautiful to Host Fifth Annual Greek and Civic Cleanup Day

SAVANNAH — If you’ve noticed Savannah looking a little cleaner, a little brighter lately… that’s no accident. Thanks to the ongoing work of Keep Savannah Beautiful (KSB) — an initiative of the City’s Sanitation Department, residents, students, and community groups are rolling up their sleeves and making a visible difference across our neighborhoods. And now, there’s another chance to be part of it.

The City of Savannah and Keep Savannah Beautiful are inviting residents, community members, fraternities, sororities, and civic organizations to join the Fifth Annual Greek and Civic Cleanup Day on Saturday, March 28, from 9 a.m. to noon at the W.W. Law Community Center (900 E. Bolton St.).

This event isn’t just a cleanup — it’s the official kickoff to the 2026 Great Savannah Cleanup, a citywide day of service happening Saturday, April 25, where hundreds of volunteers will come together to beautify neighborhoods across Savannah. On March 28, volunteers will focus their efforts on the Benjamin Van Clark and Eastside neighborhoods, working block by block to remove litter, refresh public spaces, and show what community pride looks like in action. And the best part? You don’t need experience, just a willingness to help. The City provides everything you need, including safety vests, gloves, and cleanup supplies. Students can also earn community service hours while making a real impact.

For those looking to go beyond a single day, Keep Savannah Beautiful offers a way to stay involved year-round through its Adopt-A-Spot program, where volunteers can take ownership of a street, park, or neighborhood space and help keep it clean and vibrant.

Whether you’re part of a group or just want to jump in and help, this is one of the easiest, and most visible, ways to give back to Savannah.

What: Fifth Annual Greek and Civic Cleanup Day
    When: Saturday, March 28 | 9 a.m. – noon
Where: W.W. Law Community Center, 900 E. Bolton St.
