Style Spotlight: Looks, Trends & Fashion Inspiration

    Key takeaways
    • Embracing my wellness era: daily goals include hydration, healthy eating, regular movement, and consistent skincare.
    • Supplement routine: daily multivitamin, occasional omega-3 and zinc, plus periodic biotin and collagen.
    • Tried Black Girl Vitamins Collagen "Age Defying" Gummies: keto-friendly, allergen-free, aimed at reducing aging signs and supporting hair, nails, joints.
    • On a short trial now with plans to continue three months total; shared code kpfusion for 20% off community purchases.
    • Mental and nervous system regulation matters: reinforced boundaries lowered stress, though fixing night owl sleep habits remains a goal.

Even though it’s already been 5 years, it’s still hard for me to believe that I’m in my 40s. Yes, if you didn’t know it already, I’m 45. Now, my lower back and random body aches like to remind me from time to time, lol, but for the most part, I don’t feel like I’m in my 40s at all. If I’m really being honest, I’ve felt pretty much the same age since I turned 30. You kinda go into a mental haze where anyone over the age of 25 could also be 45, and if you don’t have kids, you tend to live by a different clock as well. Throw in being a freelancer and setting your own work hours and schedule and you really don’t feel your age. You’re just… an adult.

With that being said, I AM fully aware that I’m aging, so my overall health and wellness routine has gotten way more important over the last few years. I’ve been embracing my wellness era and it’s truly a full time job! Staying hydrated, eating as healthy as possible and going to the gym and moving my body more are daily goals, and don’t even get me started on my skincare. I’m not against aging at all (I embrace it, actually), but I want to age as gracefully as possible. I’ve also added in a few supplements as well. I’ve always taken a multi-vitamin, but I’ll add in other supplements like Omega-3, zinc, etc, depending on what I need.

I periodically add in biotin and collagen for hair, skin and nail support, and Black Girl Vitamins recently sent me their Collagen “Age Defying” Gummies to try. I’ve never use their products before, but I’ve always heard great things. Their gummies are keto-friendly, soy-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, and free of any GMOs or fillers, and these are designed to help slow-down signs of aging, reduce wrinkles & erase fine lines, enjoy fuller hair & stronger nails, and ease joint stiffness and aches.

    Black Girl Vitamins

I’ve only been taking them for about 3 weeks so it’s way too early to give a review on them, but I’m excited to see if there’s a difference. I plan to take them over the next 2 months (so 3 months total) and hopefully, there’s a visible improvement. They also gave me a code to share with my community, so if you’ve ever wanted to try any of their products, click this link and use kpfusion at checkout for 20% off your purchase. I’d love to know what you try/what your experience is like!

Obviously there’s so much more that goes into taking care of your health and wellness (your mental and nervous system regulation should be part of the equation as well), but funnily enough, those areas are the easiest for me to handle. I don’t have a lot of stress in my life and ever since I reinforced a few boundaries around the level of access that people can have with me, things have been a lot more calmer. Now, if only I could stop being such a night owl and get my bedtime in check…

What’s part of you wellness routine?
