    SAVANNAH, Ga.- Savannah State won six events at the Savannah State Relays on Saturday at Theodore A. Wright Stadium.

    The Tigers won first place in three field events (javelin, discus, high jump) and three running events (4x100m, sprint medley relay, 100m).

    Robert Estabrook won the javelin with a throw of 47.35m, Evan Guyton won the discuss with a toss of 43.57m and Jakobe Mobley captured the high jump with a leap of 2.07m.

    The 4x100m relay team of Shaun Eason, JahKhai St Louis, Kajuan Davis and Yastremski Johnson won their race with a time of 41.33, the sprint medley relay team of Eason, Johnson, Braylin Grier and Jaden-Wayne McPhearson had a time of 3:35.97 to win their race and JahKhari St Louis won the 100m after being clocked at 10.77.

    In addition to winning six events, Savannah State had one second place finish and came in third place in five events.

    The 40000m distance relay team of Braylin Grier, Dominique Bailey, Jaden-Wayne McPhearson and Tayshaun Williams were second in their race with a time of 12:19.98.

    Finishing third were Evan Guyton (13.490m) in the shot put, Raymond McKoy (1.95m) in the high jump, Kajuan Davis (15.04) in the 110m hurdles, Yastremski Johnson (10.80) in the 100m and the 4x400m relay team (3:36.03) of Jaden-Wayne McPhearson, Braylin Grier, Jakobe Mobley and Raymond McKoy.

    In the field events, Donovan Holdip was fifth in the hammer throw with a toss of 37.49m and Dominique Bailey was eighth in the discuss with a throw of 29.70m.

    In the 110m hurdles, Eszaunie Earls was fifth with a run of 15.97 and Dominique Bailey finished eighth with a run of 18.06 while Earls was fourth in the 400m hurdles with a run of 59.16 and Nehemiah Shanks came in sixth with his run of 59.66.

    Shaun Eason came in fifth in the 100m after crossing the finish line at 10.82 and Jamari Norwood finished 17th following his run of 11.87.

    Morehouse was the overall team winner with 196.50 points followed by Albany State who had 132.50 points and Savannah State who finished with 112 points. Allen was fourth with 63 points and South Carolina Central Christian School had 18 points.

    Savannah State will next head to Atlanta for the Morehouse Relays on March 25th.
