    SCCPSS Recruiter Recognized Nationally by AASPA for Excellence in Human Resources

    Savannah-Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS) Talent Services Recruiter Sheena Boykin was recognized on October 9,, 2025, at the 2025 American Association of School Personnel Administrators (AASPA) Annual Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. Boykin was honored as the Region 6 recipient of the Human Resources Specialist/Support Staff Award, which celebrates outstanding contributions to the field of K–12 Human Resources.

    Since joining SCCPSS in October 2024, Boykin has revitalized recruitment operations with innovative, candidate-centered strategies that have strengthened the district’s presence locally and nationally. She developed SCCPSS’s centralized lead capture system, streamlined follow-up practices for job fairs, and expanded the district’s digital recruitment campaigns across major platforms. Her creative approach to outreach and partnership building has significantly increased applicant engagement and strengthened pipelines for both instructional and classified staff.

    Chief of Talent and Human Resources Ramon Ray shared, “Sheena has redefined what it means to be a recruiter. Her energy, strategy, and compassion have helped transform our approach to connecting with top talent. This recognition is well-deserved.”

    Executive Director of Talent Services Dr. Michel Pantin added, “Sheena’s leadership exemplifies the heart of our Together, We Can EXCEL vision. She brings visibility, intentionality, and a personal touch to every candidate interaction, truly reflecting SCCPSS’s commitment to a student-focused workforce.”

    The AASPA Annual Conference brings together HR professionals from across the nation to celebrate excellence, share best practices, and strengthen the impact of personnel administrators on public education. Boykin’s recognition highlights SCCPSS’s continued leadership in innovative talent management and strategic recruitment practices.
