Style Spotlight: Looks, Trends & Fashion Inspiration

    Key takeaways
    • Pick seasonal colors: embrace florals, pastels, and bright tones for daytime or outdoor spring weddings.
    • Consider venue and weather: choose breathable fabrics and lighter silhouettes for outdoor ceremonies in warm locations.
    • Match formality: opt for longer silhouettes or a chic black dress for black tie, softened with lighter accessories.
    • Choose comfortable, versatile pieces you can re-wear all spring and summer; prioritize fit and ease for a full day or evening.

With spring wedding season coming up, I’ve been getting a lot of questions about what to wear, so I wanted to round up some of my favorite spring wedding guest dresses all in one place. Whether you have a more formal event, an outdoor ceremony, or something a little more casual, finding the right dress can sometimes feel overwhelming this time of year.

Spring weddings are one of my favorites to dress for because I love all the color and florals! I also always try to find pieces that aren’t just great for a wedding, but that I can re-wear for other events throughout spring and summer.

Today I’m sharing a mix of spring wedding guest outfit ideas, including dresses I’ve worn and loved, along with a few new finds that I think would be perfect for everything from garden weddings to more formal celebrations.

    Colorful Spring Wedding Guest Dresses

When I think of spring wedding guest dresses, I immediately think of color. This time of year is perfect for florals, pastels, and brighter tones that feel fresh and seasonal. These are some of the dresses I’ve worn and loved that would be perfect for a spring wedding, especially for outdoor or daytime celebrations.

Black Tie Spring Wedding Guest Dress

If you’re attending a more formal or evening wedding, a black dress can still be a beautiful option for spring! Especially if you style it with lighter accessories or softer details. This is a look I would wear to a black tie or more elevated event where a longer, more formal silhouette feels appropriate.

More Spring Wedding Guest Dress Ideas

I also pulled together a mix of additional spring wedding guest dresses that I think would be perfect for a variety of settings. There’s a combination of floral prints and softer colors, different price points, and a mix of classic and more trend-forward styles depending on what you’re looking for.

Tips for Choosing a Spring Wedding Guest Dress

Here are the things I always keep in mind when picking out a dress for a spring wedding!

    • Consider the venue! Outdoor weddings (especially in warmer places) may call for lighter fabrics and more breathable styles
    • Look for colors and prints that feel seasonal, like florals, pastels, or soft neutrals
    • Choose something you’ll feel comfortable in for a full day or evening
    • Try to find pieces you can re-wear for other events throughout spring and summer

I hope this gives you a few ideas for what to wear this spring wedding season! I’ve linked everything above to make it easy to shop.

    xoxo
